LA FREGOLA DEGLI STRATI
Vestirsi a strati è come farcire una torta: bisogna scegliere con cura gli ingredienti e dosare. Farsi ispirare dalla tradizione ma sperimentare. Accostare sapori che non pensavi potessero stare insieme, valorizzare le singole caratteristiche di ognuno per esaltare il sapore d’insieme.
La mia ricetta di oggi è aggiungere a uno strato di scacchi uno strato di righe. Due figure geometriche che normalmente non si sommerebbero. E, invece, questa volta, anche grazie all’uso di due colori primari come il bianco e il nero, il risultato quadra. In conclusione, ricordatevi che vi state fidando di una che di dolci non ci capisce un tubo e ha appena divelto una sacher della Cameo tirandola fuori dal forno.

Dressing in layers is a bit like decorating a cake: you have to choose the ingredients and quantities with care, take inspiration from tradition but also push boundaries. Put flavors together that you never thought would go, bringing out the best in each one to enhance the overall flavor.
My recipe today is a layer of checks over a layer of stripes. Two patterns that don’t usually match. But that this time, thanks to the use of two primary colors like black and white, totally work. And to conclude, just remember that you’re listening to someone who understands absolutely nothing about baking and has just wrecked a Betty Crocker Sacher taking it out of the oven.
